The Practise of E-Cigarettes

Using an e-cigarette is no walk in the part and there could be issues caused if not used properly. Some common mistakes that you should avoid are flooding your cartridge. The thought of smoking without having to destroy your lungs with tar really gets to people. Even those otherwise normal smokers (20 paper cigarette smokers) make more use of their electronic counterpart and flood their cartridge while refilling. This can cause internal problems leading to blocking the flow of the liquid in the device and overtime destroys it. Replacing the device is a costly affair. Practise of E-Cigarettes

Using your e-cig excessively can be counterproductive.  Smokers usually have their smoking breaks and continued use of the device will lead to excessive use of the light and this means a high level of nicotine consumption. As a result you r body gets a high dosage of nicotine, and even if you do decide to quit later, your body will find it hard to cope up.

With excessive usage the possibility of your battery running out is high. Nicotine craving can tempt you to take a puff of the paper alternative. So do keep a charger handy, just in case. 

Flying with your E-cig

You are allowed to travel with your e-cig but smoking onboard is not permitted. Some airlines may not allow you to carry e-cigarettes as part of your luggage. So carry it on you should you be checked and asked to open your hand luggage. Separate the battery from the cartridge too. Remember that cooperating with Airport security is your only option. Smoking on the tarmac is also prohibited and may lead to the imposing of heavy fines, if violated.

Educate yourself with the correct measurements and proportions of e-liquid capacity as per your device. A lack of knowledge on this could lead to excessive filling which in turn leads to a higher level of nicotine consumption and thus leading to a greater dependence on the substance. This could lead to feeling dizzy, vomiting and nausea. So it is imperative that you know more about eliquids than just using it.

The Side Kick

A research conducted on the harmful effects of e-cigs threw up some short term health side effects. The study was conducted on a group of 32 volunteers who were divided into 3 groups: Non –smokers, current smokers and asthma / COPD patients. After smoking for just ten minutes what was observed that there was an increase in airway resistance among the first two groups but little change among the last group.  If smoking for just 10 minutes causes impaired respiratory functions then one can imagine long term issues that can arise. An unproven issue is that inhaling vapour causes immediate an impact on the body’s cardiovascular system, heart and blood pressure.
